Local storage
Mount a directory in the Foxel runtime filesystem. Browsing, uploads, downloads, directories, moves, copies, and deletion are supported.
Adapter type: local. See Common configuration for mounting instructions.
Setup
- Prepare a data directory and grant the Foxel process read and write access.
- For Docker, bind the host directory into the container. The official Compose mapping
./data:/app/datacan hold your files. - Select
localand setrootto an absolute path inside the container, such as/app/data/mount.
Configuration
| Field | Type | Required | Default | Description |
|---|---|---|---|---|
root | string | Yes | — | Absolute local path; use a container path when running Docker. |
Example
This is a config object. In the admin form, fill the corresponding fields rather than pasting the whole object. Replace credential placeholders with your own values.
json
{
"root": "/app/data/mount"
}
Behavior and limitations
- The adapter attempts to create a missing root directory, which also requires access to its parent.
- Files remain in this directory; deleting them changes the actual filesystem.
- Capacity describes the filesystem containing the root, rather than the sum of files in the directory.
Troubleshooting
- Empty directory: confirm the path is inside the container and the host volume is mounted there.
- Permission denied: check the runtime user, directory ownership, and permissions. On SELinux systems, also check volume labels.
