WebDAV

Connect Nextcloud, ownCloud, or another WebDAV service with reads, writes, directory creation, moves, and copies.

Adapter type: webdav. See Common configuration for mounting instructions.

Setup

Enable WebDAV on the remote service and copy the full directory endpoint.
Prepare credentials. Services with two-factor authentication may require an app password.
A Nextcloud endpoint resembles https://cloud.example.com/remote.php/dav/files/alice/. Use this endpoint rather than the browser login page.

Behavior and limitations

base_url determines the backend root; there is no separate root field. Append a directory to the URL or use the common sub path.
Leave both credentials blank for an anonymous service.
Segmented downloads depend on upstream Range behavior. Try download concurrency 1 if streams or previews fail.

Troubleshooting

401/403: check app passwords, account permissions, and whether WebDAV is enabled.
405 or listing failure: make sure the proxy allows WebDAV methods such as PROPFIND, MKCOL, MOVE, and COPY.
Upload failure: check remote quota, proxy body limits, and timeouts.
